You can use a USB to Serial converter cable, they are available from most computer shops.
Dick Smith sells the XH8290 at $49.98.

I can not connect the device JE81CL to my computer, because the cable serial port for 9 pin doesn’t available in our computer. What should I do then? My computer is HP Presario V3906TU laptop.

Hello Val
First of all you will need to Download from the JE81CL.
Then click the “Add a New Time” button
1) Select the days and ring type for the new time.
2) tick the box for Bank 1
3) enter the Time as a four digit number, ie 0845 for 8:45. dont forget to select AM/PM or 24Hr mode
4) click the “OK” box to add the time
The time should now be added to bank 1.
Now upload to the JE81CL to complete the changes

Hello
I am trying to add in a new time on our bell system thru the programme that we have downloaded on our system. We have a JE81CL system.
I can get into the bank 1 field with the existing times on but are having trouble adding in another time, could you help me please.
